Early in my career, I was hired as an Editor for the Cleveland Clinic Health System in their Patient Education and Medical Journal Departments. I drafted the first editions of comprehensive patient guides for Diabetes and Congestive Heart Failure. I worked with the Nutrition Services Department to create a meal planning guide for the Cleveland Browns and edited two published articles in the CCF Journal of Medicine. However, my greatest accomplishment was in the managing of the first-generation patient health website created as a partnership between the Cleveland Clinic and WebMD. I mapped editorial and site direction, coordinated copy with physicians and medical professionals and recommended medical illustrations/artwork.
